Why not keep making art and wait to make it?
I'm working, but have you seen the current economy? Artists don't thrive as much anymore: designer work is severely underpriced, AI is reshaping the field, and even with a creative‑direction job it's not enough to get a house before prices rise out of reach. So I'm trying something new and I refuse to open an OnlyFans or anything similar. I'd rather die poor with my art.
Why crypto?
The reason is simple. I saw people fund a Punk at buymeapunk.xyz and I saw the boom of NFTs a few years back, but my fear of things not working out beat my intention to offer my art. Not gonna waste this opportunity.
Why a house?
Because I don't want to worry about rent anymore. Because I want to set up a studio in the house I get. Because there will be some physical pieces I want to keep to give you guys if this comes true and the space would be ideal. Because I want my dogs to live in a bigger better place with me.
Can you really buy a house with this amount?
Yeah, I plan to do it in Mexico, while prices are still in reach.
Who is the Paintress?
It's me. I'm a designer with too many dreams and not enough wall space. The Paintress is the name I'm putting on this body of work, the studio I want to build, and the practice I'm trying to make sustainable. Every delivery will be different. Together with your help, it becomes its own thing.
